Majoro's has a shared living room where guests are welcome to relax and watch TV. There are also kitchen facilities available which guests can use for tea and coffee making purposes.
The Majoro's Experience may also include:

* An afternoon walk through the township
* An evening of vibrant local music & traditional dancing
* Courses in cooking traditional African cuisine
* A visit to the local Sangoma (traditional healer)
* A full township tour given by a local guide
* An evening at a nearby jazz club or a night of shabeen hopping
* A gospel/choir tour
* A tour of some of the local community driven projects
* The local church social
* A chat with local women, who can share the township experience and gossip the past and present stories.Marie and her team can also cater for small functions including lunches and dinners. As well, they can do flower arrangments. Whatever your desire, Marie and her family and friends can usually accommodate -just let us know your interests and we can try to arrange a package of activities for you ahead of time. Or please ask Marie upon arrival for her suggestions.

Maria recognizes that it takes a village to raise a child - in this case, the child is a tourism industry in the Khayelitsha Township. She sees the vast potential for tourism as a means to clean up their neighbourhood, supress crime and bring economic benefits. Looking forward to the World Cup 2010, she believes proper tourism development and training can be a positive step for the informal economies of southern Africa, especially in Khayelitsha. Maria acts as a mentor for prospective B&B owners, tourism businesses and caterers.

Welcome to Majoro's Bed and Breakfast
Spend the night in Khayelitsha and experience a splash of african flair, traditional african cuisine, friendly people and of course the warm African hostess - Majoromia!
Established in 1998, it is a bed and breakfast that is offering accommodation and catering for small functions and churches.
This B&B, with its unique style, was the first to open in the township. With its traditional way of design, good service and homely environment, the B&B accommodates four people with a double and twin room, kitchen and separate bathroom.
Your host, Maria, with culinary/catering experience at the University of Cape Town, will prepare a scrumptious, traditional, English or continental breakfast for you. Lunch and dinner can be provided on request. Spotless facilities, in an environment that is like being in the comfort of your own home.
